Second graders in Mrs. Barker's class learned about the work of American glass sculptor, Dale Chihuly, whose dramatic sculptures and installations can be seen around the world. Inspired by his work, students and art volunteers created a one of kind chandelier. Plastic cups decorated by students were melted into colorful and imaginative shapes. This functional piece will light up any room and will be a treasured reminder of second grade. Art Volunteers: Meea Kang, Janet Donald and Gary Ahuna.
